Day 11: Switcheroo

I’m switching Day 11 (A Recent Photo of You) and Day 12 (Freebie).

Frog had tubes put in this morning and everything went well.

Thank you for all your calls, emails, comments, etc.

We see an otologist, who performs the surgery in his office.  The term “surgery” is used lightly since there is no general anesthesia involved.  Numbing drops are placed in the ears, you wait for 45 minutes, and then the doctor uses a laser while you hold your child.  It’s a pretty cool experience, but Frog was not too excited about it.

He did that pitiful cry-with-no-sound-or-breath-until-your-face-turns-red cry and then the can’t-catch-your-breath cry.

Breaks your heart.

But here’s to pain free ears.

Hair cuts were also on the hit parade today.

Frick and Frack decided running racing in Crocs (never a good idea) would be the MOST fun way to get into the salon.

This race quickly turned into a battle:

the parking lot versus the boys.

The parking lot won.

Frick wound up with skinned knees and Frack came away with this:

Poor boys. Why is it that Frack always manages to get an eye scratched up? Remember that Halloween picture for a couple of years ago where his eye looks about the same? Give them kisses from us…

Hi, this is Dana’s partner in crime over at The Mom-tage. I laughed reading about your family… Sounds like we would be fast friends! I’ve got four boys myself, ages 5yrs to 6 months. And a little girl who is 6 years old. So, I laughed hard at your answers to the questions: Yes we do know how this is happening! All of those are questions I despise! Anyway, it was fun to read about someone else going through the same struggles as me. Your boys are too cute.

I had no idea they could do the “surgery” like that. Good to know!

    And, ouch, his poor face.

It was quite a day for your little guys! Hope everyone is doing well (and the ear ouchies are staying away)!
