Yikes!

Frick was playing in a dollhouse during summer school this past week.

Usually, he makes the people dive out of windows, throw furniture around, or just create general chaos in the little miniature world.

I glanced at him the other day while he played.

The house was pristine.  Furniture was in all the right places.

The Daddy was in the bed.

The Mommy was sitting at the kitchen table with the kids.

I couldn’t resist.

Mommy: Frick, what’s the Daddy doing?

Frick: Oh.  He’s sleeping in.

Mommy: What is the Mommy doing?

Frick: Well someone needs to feed the kids!

That story almost rivals this one from the school year:

Two students were playing at the dollhouse during center time.

There was a “mommy” and a “daddy”.

One of the students said,

“Let’s go take a shower.”

    LOL! Frick is too funny.

I am cracking up about the shower comment. What did you say/do when you heard that? I don’t think I could look at the child’s parents with a straight face.

You know, it’s been awhile since that comment was made and I don’t even remember who said it. I just remember thinking that it was so funny. I didn’t say anything to the children because they did not mean it in the context in which it was said. I probably busted out laughing when I saw the parents in car line. I always tell my classroom parents to not believe a word they say about me and I won’t believe anything they say about them. Case in point. LOL 🙂

Dollhouses are a peak into what happens in your house! I usually let BP sleep in on weekends b/c I am so uncomfortable and usually awake anyway. He deserves a morning or two of snoozing with all of the work he does around here! 🙂

That is too funny! 🙂 Good idea — making a pact with the other parents not to believe stories the kids tell! Haha!

OMGosh – did you tell the parents of those ‘let’s go shower’ kids – funny stuff.

And yeah, why do Moms have to be the ones to ‘fed them’ always.

LMAO. Kids really pick up on the smallest things that we do not even think about.

Very funny! My friend teaches pre-school and she tells the best stories about what those little ones say in complete innocence. Love it.

Bah! Let’s go take a shower! LOL!

Tell Frick that the mommy has a headache and is going to have a lie-down so Daddy has to make dinner and get the kids bathed and in bed!
