Nine Years

Today is our nine year anniversary!

1) When was your wedding day?
June 24, 2000

2) What day of the week was it?

3) Did you get married in a church?
Yes, we were married at my grandmother’s gorgeous Catholic church.

4) How many in your wedding party?
12 (6 guys, 6 girls), 2 ushers

5) Where was your reception?
It was at a old house a few blocks away from the church.

6) How many guests were invited to your wedding?
A lot.  Too many.  Everyone and their brothers.  We know entirely too many people who have influenced us and had positive affects in our lives.  WAY too many.

7) How long did you wait to Tie The Knot after your proposal?
It was almost one year to the day. We were engaged on June 25, 1999 and married on June 24, 2000.

8) Did your father walk you down the aisle?
Oh yes. Would not of had it any other way. I’m a Daddy’s girl.

9) What color were the bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen vests?
Bridesmaids wore pewter, A-line, floor length dresses. They carried sterling roses (lavender in color). Groomsmen wore cream vests and tails.

10) Did you have a Bridal Shower?

11) What type of limo did you get?
No limo. My parents actually drove us to the reception (LOL) in their Cadillac.  Then BP drove the Caddy to the bed and breakfast we stayed at that night.

12) Where did you go for your Bachelorette/Bachelor Party?
My maid of honor planned it in Atlanta. We hit the bars and had LOTS of fun.

13) What type of wedding gown/tux did you two wear?
I LOVED my gown. It was made by Galina Bouquet and if I could fit in it, I would prance around the house with it on just for kicks.

14) How was the weather?
HOT! June in the south sucks.

15) Where did you go on your Honeymoon?
Disney World. 🙂

16) What was your favorite part of your wedding?
There was a point during the ceremony (I think it was after the vows and before the rings) when I turned to look at my parents, smiled, and giggled. I was so excited and happy! The entire church broke out in laughter as they witnessed this. For whatever reason, I thought no one else was looking me. Boy was I wrong!

17) Least favorite part?
It went by too quickly. That is one day I would live over and over.

Happy Anniversary, BP!  I love you and hope for 90 more years.

Happy Anniversary! I was driven to/from the wedding in a Cadillac too. In fact, we ended up owning the Cadillac a couple of years later. LOL – never thought we’d end up driving a Cadillac until we retired.
