Runaway

Frick:  I’M LEAVING!  I don’t want to be home anymore!!  Frack won’t share!

…silence…

Frick:  Will you go with me, Mom?

Me:  Where are we going to go?

Frick:  I dunno.  Just outta here.

… a few minutes later…

Frick:  I don’t want to leave anymore.  Frack gave me the tool set.

Oh noooooo! My boys are STILL doing this at 6 and 8. Everytime things aren’t going MonkeyButt’s way, he heads for the door and CuriousGeorge has a mental breakdown. You wouldn’t think he’d mind him leaving so much if they’ve been fighting…but he does, and MonkeyButt is victorious everytime…
It’s darn cute…the first hundred times

I remember when Rebecca was little… very little and she wanted to run away. I helped her pack and then she asked me to join too!

Sometimes I feel like Frick too. I remember saying I was going to run away and got as far as our driveway b/c I wasn’t allowed to cross the street. LOL!

Ha ha!!! Well, he had some serious reasons for not wanting to be home. I’ll even bet you stop him from eating just candy all day long, too, huh?

I would have taken him up on the running away part – that way you’d take care of one child, your husband the other.

    sounds even to me 🙂

I LOVE your stories. Hope you are feeling well.

The only time one of my kids ran away he actually ran away around the corner out of sight. Scared me to death! This was such a cute story. I love that he wanted you to come with him!
