Reelin’ Them In

Frack sits in my classroom each morning before he goes to see his “guys”.

We were playing with play dough when my first student walked in.

Frack:  Oh. Hi.  I Frack.  What your name?

Student:  I’m Jimmy.

Frack:  Oh. Hi Jimmy.  You like play dough?

Jimmy:  Yeah.

You see how he reels them in?

And then he usually bops them on the head.

We were talking about this the other day – how young kids say “Do you want to be my friend?” and how friendships are formed that way.

We don’t do this as adults, as the show Big Bang Theory showed on a recent episode. Maybe we should.

Hilarious! I have to agree with Mimi, maybe we should ask that “Will you be my friend?” like kids do. But, could we handle it if the answer was no? 🙂
