LABOR Day

Several of my bloggy friends were doing this today.  It started from Rocks in My Dryer.

How long were your labors?

Frick: 20+ hours

Frack: 7 hours

Frick seemed to enjoy his surroundings and wasn’t so sure about this thing called ‘life’.

How did you know you were in labor?

Frick:  Contractions started after Clemson beat Miami on Nov. 6, 2004 at 11:30pm.  I suppose I was so excited, I put myself into labor.  Maybe it was the chili.  Or the fact that I was already 2 weeks late.   I did not deliver him until November 8 at 3:07pm.  Yeah.

Frack:  Induced on Super Bowl Sunday, 2006.  Pittsburgh Steelers won.  🙂

I seem to center my births around football.  Good thing I like that sport.

Where did you deliver?

Same hospital.

Drugs?

Frick:  Oh yeah.  But then, because I pushed for 3 and a half hours and nothing was happening, they let the epidural run out.  Ouch.  Did I mention this child was 9 lbs 4 oz?

Frack:  Yes.  Wonderful birth.  Slipped out like a bar of soap.  7 lbs 15 oz.

C-section?

No.

Who delivered?

Same doctor for both boys.

Play along if you would like!

One of my friends on our blog also had her babies around football. 🙂 I’ve been reading some stories from RIMD and am glad so many people have shared. I am due in less than 4 weeks and can’t wait to meet our little one!
My friends are sharing advice for my labor this week on our blog if you’d like to join along and send some my way!
