The End

Today not only marks my 100th post, but also my LAST DAY teaching second grade in the public schools. As we are cleaning up our party trash, a familiar and catchy tune blasts from the intercom…. Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus echoes through the building. The teachers are dancing and singing in the hallways and the janitors waving their brooms in the air. Seriously. It was like a scene from Broadway.

With all of this fun going on, one thought enters my mind about next year:

It’s time I stopped raising everyone else’s kids and focus on my own.

Good for you! I loved that end of school feeling. Who knew it would be better as a teacher than as a student?!
