Breakfast and cuddles in bed,
handmade gifts from adorable children,
including this precious lollipop corsage made by Frack,
and pictures with my boys on the porch before Mass.
What a great day!
Busy Doesn’t Even Describe It.

So where have we been?
Well, we’ve….
waited patiently for Daddy’s plane to arrive at the airport after a week long business trip.
That was the week The Mommy Show was running again–or shall I say I was running to and fro with the boys–AHEM.
We’ve…
…been playing lots of baseball (Frick is the catcher).
Two boys on two different teams and two different fields that happen to be on opposite sides of the park is LOTS of fun.
And we’ve….
…been busy getting shiners on our eye at birthday parties.
Just a little catch up post to let you know we are, in fact, still around.

It’s that time of year.
Both older boys are playing baseball, so we are dividing our time between practices and games.
Oh, and then there’s karate.
And poor Frog gets to tag along to each.
:/
But the boys love it.
Watching their faces light up when they get a hit or catch the ball makes all the running around worth it.
There is also a great pack of siblings around for the kids to play with whenever they are supporting their other brother.
Frog finds the wonders of the ball field/construction zone (they are redoing our city’s recreational ball park) simply amazing.
The most exciting parts of the first game were when Frick stepped up to the plate and hit the ball on the first pitch both times he was at bat.
And this was from a pitching machine–no more coach’s pitch.
Have you seen how fast a pitching machine pitches the ball?
Sheesh.
This is his second at-bat:
I was that crazy mom screaming and crying.
Yep.

Frog and I spent some time at the mall on Sunday.
He was in a terrible mood.
So I made him work the bad mood out.
Ok, ok.
He wanted to push the stroller.
And carry the “packpack”.
See?
He loved every minute of it.
This picture makes me wanna squeeze his cheeks.
Cu-tie.
His brothers are pretty cute, too.
Best buds.
Until one swipes a toy or poots on the other.
Boys are gross.
But cute.

In other unrelated news….
Frog filled our Sunday with two year old tantrums just about all day long.
However, he had at least one shining moment when he said,
“Mom…Mom! Take cheese please!”
Then he looked this cute:
which only made me kinda enjoy him despite his fit throwing.
After the picture was taken, he stated,
“I see? I see?
Oh…dat’s cool, Mommy!”
Ok.
He’s cool again.

Our yearly photo session in November produced darling photos of our boys.
How does a photographer get smiles and laughs from a group of boys?
A whoopee cushion.
We love potty humor around these parts.
And as you can see, it worked.
Frog is never without his blanket.
Below, is one of my favorites (except for Frog’s goofy face).
Scrabble letters for their names?
Awesome.

Entertainment abound at dinner this evening!
For starters, The Non-Cook Named Mandy roasted a whole chicken in the crock pot today.
The delicious smell of this easy chicken recipe tempted us all afternoon.
Things were going splendidly until Ms. Non-Cook discovered that she left the innards wrapped in plastic inside the chicken’s cavity.
The trash can enjoyed our chicken.
*sigh*
Sandwiches for boys and salads for grownups were tonight’s main course.
But then things perked up.
Frog has caught on to his older brothers’ knock knock jokes.
He piped up with his own tonight at the table:
So thankful for comic relief.

As you can imagine, once that bathtub was filled with water, I had quite the clean up job on the boy AND the tub.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Frog!

Sweet little Frog turns 2 today!
Once upon a time, God blessed us with a darling baby boy,
completing the trifecta of …life’s about a dream boys.
Frog is….
…talking so much now. Words just started to connect like
“Me some pees.” translation: Give me some of what you have, please.
“Me juicy.” translation: I would like some juice.
“I down.” translation: I would like to get down now.
….still calling me “Ma” and BP “Da”.
…calling Frick and Frack by their given names.
…correctly calls one of the triplet cousins by name, the others he calls “babies”. I know some adults around these parts that can’t do that yet. K.
…screaming all the time.
…becoming a typical 2 year old.
…hugging his brothers constantly.
…following said brothers around and wanting to do EVERYTHING they are doing.
…asking for hugs from me. Love.
…adjusting well to my working full time now.
…expertly using utensils at meals.
…running around and looking like a typical top heavy two year old. I love that look.
…carrying a blanket around constantly. And I am constantly reminded of the blanket named “Woobie” in the movie Mr. Mom.
Happy Birthday to you, my sweet Frog!

I’m a lucky girl.
I had The Karate Kid, and Darth Vader, and some random version of Spiderman to protect me while trick or treating.
And then there was this guy….
who pumped iron prior to his candy rampage.
Look at those muscles in action:
As he approached each doorstep, Muscleman Spiderman loudly stated,
“Teet teet!!”
for candy.
So manly.
We hung out with our usual Halloween crowd in my parents’ cul-de-sac for hot dogs, chili, smores, and trick or treating.
The weather was perfect.
The company was even better.
Another Halloween in the books.
