Breakfast and cuddles in bed,
handmade gifts from adorable children,
including this precious lollipop corsage made by Frack,
and pictures with my boys on the porch before Mass.
What a great day!
Busy Doesn’t Even Describe It.

So where have we been?
Well, we’ve….
waited patiently for Daddy’s plane to arrive at the airport after a week long business trip.
That was the week The Mommy Show was running again–or shall I say I was running to and fro with the boys–AHEM.
We’ve…
…been playing lots of baseball (Frick is the catcher).
Two boys on two different teams and two different fields that happen to be on opposite sides of the park is LOTS of fun.
And we’ve….
…been busy getting shiners on our eye at birthday parties.
Just a little catch up post to let you know we are, in fact, still around.
Spring Is in Full Swing

It’s that time of year.
Both older boys are playing baseball, so we are dividing our time between practices and games.
Oh, and then there’s karate.
And poor Frog gets to tag along to each.
:/
But the boys love it.
Watching their faces light up when they get a hit or catch the ball makes all the running around worth it.
There is also a great pack of siblings around for the kids to play with whenever they are supporting their other brother.
Frog finds the wonders of the ball field/construction zone (they are redoing our city’s recreational ball park) simply amazing.
The most exciting parts of the first game were when Frick stepped up to the plate and hit the ball on the first pitch both times he was at bat.
And this was from a pitching machine–no more coach’s pitch.
Have you seen how fast a pitching machine pitches the ball?
Sheesh.
This is his second at-bat:
I was that crazy mom screaming and crying.
Yep.
March Birchbox

My March Birchbox arrived today!
This month, subscribers were given the choice to get their regular box or the Teen Vogue Edition.
Since I am 30 something and not 15, I opted out of the Teen Vogue Edition.
After all, I am a mother of three and a kindergarten teacher.
It’s time to own it.
This month included:
*AHAVA: Essential Day Moisturizer, Normal to Dry–I am excited about this! The dermalogica–Daily Microfoliant from last month was a winner and this will add nicely to my skin regimen.
*Color Club: Nail Lacquer–My card says I received the color “Jackie Oh!”, an awesome pink polish, but instead, my box had “Peace Out Purple”. It’s a little too much for my taste. Our babysitter will be receiving this one.
*Harvey Prince: Yogini–Very nice mini perfume, perfect for the purse. The card says “take a deep breath and relax with this calming scent.” Yes, please!
*Kerastase: Elixir Ultime: A nourishing oil for your hair. I’m excited about trying this. I have been growing my hair out since having Frog. My curls need to be tamed at times.
*Supergoop!: Sunscreen Swipe: Portable sunscreen wipes with SPF 30. Perfect for me, the one they call, “Solar Phobic”. I don’t tan, I burn. And then burn again. It’s not pretty.
*Kusmi Tea: Detox Tea–A detoxifying green tea. This will go nicely with the 17 Day Diet plan I have put into motion with our family. BP and I have lost about 20lbs.

My Three Sons

Frog and I spent some time at the mall on Sunday.
He was in a terrible mood.
So I made him work the bad mood out.
Ok, ok.
He wanted to push the stroller.
And carry the “packpack”.
See?
He loved every minute of it.
This picture makes me wanna squeeze his cheeks.
Cu-tie.
His brothers are pretty cute, too.
Best buds.
Until one swipes a toy or poots on the other.
Boys are gross.
But cute.
Renovation Update and a Little Bit of Cuteness

And now, although not yet completed….

In other unrelated news….
Frog filled our Sunday with two year old tantrums just about all day long.
However, he had at least one shining moment when he said,
“Mom…Mom! Take cheese please!”
Then he looked this cute:
which only made me kinda enjoy him despite his fit throwing.
After the picture was taken, he stated,
“I see? I see?
Oh…dat’s cool, Mommy!”
Ok.
He’s cool again.
Seuss-O-Rama

Kindergarten is so much fun.
Dr. Seuss‘ birthday is today and my class celebrated all week.
My favorite activity, thanks to Pinterest, was the a-DOR-able Thing One and Thing Two’s that grace our classroom windows:
We culminated our week of Seuss-O-Rama festivities with some yummy snacks.:
Cat in the Hat hats, made by a classroom parent, and “Green Eggs and Ham“.
What?
What’s that you say?
That’s not really green eggs and ham?
You see, Mrs. Teacher (that’s me) doesn’t do eggs.
She doesn’t taste them,
smell them.
Cook them,
TOUCH them.
So her trusty parapro, Mrs. Do-Everything-Including-Make-Anything-That-Needs-To-Be-Made,
researched and came up with the white chocolate, green M&M, and pretzel substitute.
And anything that has to do with chocolate is a winner in Mrs. Teacher’s book.

The Money Pit is in full renovation swing. Again.
For those who don’t know our DIY history, I seem to have a knack for timing pregnancy and renovations.
Ha.
Unfortunately, this time I am not pregnant and was put straight to work.
Enter: The deck renovations.
Before:
BP has a 4 day weekend to turn the above into a DIY paradise with a covered walkway from our detached garage.
Sa-weet.
And here’s the proof that I am not pregnant:
The boys were helping, too.
After all, that’s why we keep having kids.
More hands to help.
Keep watching for our renovation updates.

I am loving my Birchbox subscription!!
January’s box contained an awesome concealer sample (Miracle Skin Transformer) that I ended up purchasing. I was able to use the $10 credited to my account after getting 100 points when I gifted a subscription to my SIL and MIL. In addition to that, I cashed in on the Birchbox offer of 20% off items in the current month’s box. Cha-ching!
A peek inside this month’s box:
**dermalogica–Daily Microfoliant. I am so excited about this product. I am trying to take better care of my skin and this came at the perfect time.
**EYE ROCK–Designer Liner. Not sure how I feel about these…they are single-use stick-on eye liner strips. We’ll see.
**Jouer–Luminizing Moisture Tint. To quote the card, “It’s our daily shortcut to dewy, glowing skin.”
**Juice Beauty–Blemish Clearing Serum. I’ll take it! I rarely had acne in high school. But once I was in my 20s and 30s, it was on. Like Donkey Kong. Not fair.
**Supersmile–Powered Mouthrinse. Perfect size to carry in your purse for on the go freshening up. Added perk–it also whitens your teeth!
**Birchbox Digital Download. 6 free tunes from Green River Ordinance. I love their song “Dancing Shoes”!
Was your Birchbox as skin care related as mine?

Happy 6th Birthday Frack!
06 Feb 2012 2 Comments
It’s hard to believe how quickly they go from this:
to this:
Frack has grown into a smart, sweet, energetic boy.
He’s reading and writing now, impressing us with his neat handwriting and desire to learn.
He loves to build things–Legos, blocks, roads, tracks.
I was so excited to get this picture via text today from Frack’s teacher.
I think he rather enjoyed himself today.
Happy 6th Birthday Frack!!
